Hi Everyone,

I'm back with Harry and Raji today.

Harry has learnt a real neat trick - he can get the big drawer in the kitchen open if it's not tightly shut, and guess what we keep in there??? That's right it the food drawer! It's got cans but it also has the dry food and we have managed to rip that open. We are now self-sufficient Mencats!

A Wednesday Word From Harry

Hi Everyone - It's me Harry.

I just wanted to let everyone know what is happening and why Mama & Wix haven't been blogging.

This week is the final week of the Whiskas competition and although Winston made it into the top 20 for Victoria - YAY! - he needs to stay there so Mama has been doing lots of campaigning on his behalf, leaving not a lot of time for blogging. It ends this friday so paws crossed he stays in the top 20.

Also Mama has been working on getting her ETSY store back up and running where she sells greeting cards, she hasn't got a lot listed yet but she is working on it. You can see it here if you're interested.

As for me, I have been busy mousing. This catnip mouse here has been causing problems so I go and catch it along with lots of mewing and bunny kicking and when I am sure he is almost dead I take him to Mama. Only problem is he seems to be back the next day.... a mousers work is never done.

Mama and Wix promise that they will be back and visiting you all next week.

The last couple of days has had some sunshine so Mr.Raji has been spending quality time in the garden. He and Tabby are lucky because they can stay out all day unsupervised and not cause trouble (as if I would cause trouble!). Hopefully it will be good weather again tomorrow and I can go out in my harness and look at the flowers too. Have a great day...

Brrrrr it is really cold here today which meant I couldn't go outside today which was no fun, but I hunkered down and found a good place to sleep and I also helped Mama bake an apple cake - well I ate the top off it when she wasn't looking which is the same as helping and now I know that it is safe for peoples to eat.

A couple of people asked if Harry and the cousins go outside, well at this stage Harry hasn't but he will soon (although he says he's not wearing any harness). Q does not because she cannot be trusted, she runs off and chases birds. Raji and Tabby spend most of the day outside.

Tabby likes to go round the traps and check that everything is going well but when she thinks no one is looking she gets a little bit silly.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't blogged for a while but Mama has been real busy moving all her stuff. It's all been done now so we can get back on a regular scheduele.

Photo Thursday - Meet Q

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Harry and I are settling in really well at out new home, sometimes Harry is a bit unsure but he found a good place to nap in a wardrobe. I have been outside, I was a very brave cat and ventured into the shed but then I forgot where I was a freaked out, Mama picked me up to take me inside but I thought she was a stranger so I hissed and scratched at her. Once I was inside I remembered that we had moved and gave Mama a cuddle, I felt bad for hurting her but she says it's OK because sometimes new things can be strange and scary.

As for getting on with the others, I being a very affable fellow have no problems with anyone at all. Harry has remembered that Tabby is his arch-nemisis so he has been hunting her. We keep them apart. Raji just doesn't care either way about us kittehs but he has forgotten who Mama is - this is very rude considering she was the one who made him part of the family! - but we think he is remembering her slowly.

And of course we cannot forget Q - we have the best chasing game ever up and dowm the wooden floor in the hall and she tussles with me. We are great friends. She has also been playing in Harry's scratching pole and been making funny faces for the camera!

Anyway we won't be blogging until next week sometime because Mama is going back to Sydney to collect the rest of our things. In the meantime Gammy will be looking after us - extra snacks!

Also if you are a regular visitor to my blog and I haven't included you on my list of blogging friends and you want to be on it, please let me know and I will get Mama to update it.

Hai everyone hope you all had a great weekend. Harry and I survived our car trip, it was super long but neither of us complained once. I feel a little bit sick when I go in the car so I was glad when it was over.

So now I am a resident of Victoria, we live in the Gippsland region which has lots of interesting things for people to do but is a bit colder than we are used to. We are settling in with our cousins well.

Anyway while I was on my trip I stopped of to get a very special pic for my scratchbook.

This is me in front of Parliment House which is where the government is based, politics is a very manly thing, well it was, we just got a new Prime Minister and she is a lady that has furs the same colour as me, so it was quite a fitting time for me to visit.

Well, we have been super busy here for two days packing all Mama's things (she likes clothes, shoes and handbags as much as I like treats!). Because she has so much stuff we needed super big boxes, which I tested out first to make sure they were right for putting things in...

Anyway it is pretty much all done now and tomorrow is the big road trip, we even got a new carrier to go in, hopefully all will go well. Happy Fourth of July weekend to all my friends across the Pacific, have a great weekend.

Wordy Wednesday - Big Changes Ahead!

Hai everyone, hope your week is going good. We had some news from Mama today that Gammy and Gampy are coming to visit - hooray! But they are coming all this way to take the two of us and Mama on a really long car trip, 12 hours!!!!! Because we are moving to Victoria (which is a whole other state for those of you overseas) to live with them. Mama says not to worry that she will make sure we are comfortable in the car and that we have plenty of access to water and some meal breaks.

Mama says that this will change our family because instead of me and Harry being brothers we will have our cousins too. Harry will not be happy because he likes to do his own thing (although he is hoping that Jonesie might let him join the feline gardeners association), but I am excited because Q and I always have the best games of chases ever.

Anyway here is todays picture. My friend Daisy saw a toad recently (yuck!) and it reminded me of when I was at Gammy and Gampy's old house at Christmas and this really big lizard came to visit - it was so excitingbut I wasn't allowed to go out and play with it.

Furtastic Friday - The Snuggie

Happy Furtastic Friday - well I hope you are having a happy one - me not so much. I am sitting here minding my own business when Mama comes home and says she has a present for me. Hooray! I thought, little did I know the horror that would follow. A Snuggie! I had seen them on the TV for persons but didn't know there would be anyone out there rude enough to consider it for cats (dogs maybe, I could see them liking such a thing.) The photo's speak for themselves...

In the end I took it into the kitchen and dumped it near where the trash is put. Hopefully that will be the last of that!

Hai everyone, I am back online - hooray! Mama had a good trip to see Gammy and Gampy but we sure were happy to see her back home. Brett and Anne took real good care of us but we missed mama so much.

Today I thought I would tell you about when Harry & I play "Brothers"...

Easy Like Sunday

Mama has been busy making some cat-nip mices for us, they are pretty neat. Harry is modelling them here, the nip seemed a good way to chill out on a sunday.

Harry has mices on the brain (he was not impressed with having it put on his head hehe)

Anyway I won't be blogging this week cause Mama is going away, this means her friends Brett & Anne will be looking after us - I am not too fussed as long as they feed me, but Harry is rather put out cause he doesn't like strangers.

Harry says he didn't see any pizza either. We are going to work together to find the pizza stealer, but first we gather clues by licking the box!

Sometimes you just want to be left alone to enjoy your enviro-bag but then there's Mama with the flashy box thing. I am not impressed! I think my expression says it all...

One thing that I am very impressed by are my friends over at The Katnip Lounge who were kind enough to nominate me for a beautiful blogger award. What an honour, thank you!

So I have to tell you seven things that you don't know about me, which could be hard because I am already an open book! But I will try:

I love carbs - bread cannot be left unattended as I turn into a bread monster.
I weigh a healthy 5.2kgs
Not all my whiskers are white, I have three black whiskers
I am a Cuckoo Cat, if Harry finds a good place to sleep I will steal it
My favourite toy is whichever toy Harry has
I like to chew on things - anything mamas stilletto heels, mamas handbags, the furniture, anything made out of cardboard.
Sometime I like to be a baby kitten and do mash potato on mama and meep _^..^_

Firstly I must apologise to all my dear friends for my absence, well not my absence I have been here the whole time but apparently Mama has been busy with work and other things so she has not been able to type out my dictations, typical!

Anyway today for Mancat Monday I wanted to post a rather dapper photo of myself. Mama loves watching a cooking show here call Masterchef (she says they have it in the UK, but for my US friends it is kind of like American Idol but with amateur cooks, I am sure you have something similar). Anyway one of the judges on Masterchef, Matt Preston wears a different cravat on every episode and I thought that it looks quite classy so I thought I might start wearing them too. What do you think?

We have been a very naughty boys. Last night while mama was sleeping we broke into the snack box and ate all the cravers, usually we wake mama up at about 5.30am for breakfast but this morning we didn't cause we were full, when she did wake up we didn't ask for breakfast cause we were still full! Mama didn't know why until she found the snack container on the floor broken open and empty, she didn't seem too happy but I don't know why because we organised our own breakfast and didn't wake her up, she should have been pleased.

Anyway after all those cravers the two of us needed to take a long nap...

PhotoHunt: Addiction

Being the good kitteh I am, I do not have any addictions but Mama on the other hand has a very expensive addition - shoes, more specifically shoes that are on sale so I suppose it is not as expensive as it could be. She often likes to share her bargain buys with her friends so she takes a picture to send to them, this is when I like to offer my services as an artistic director.

Furtastic Friday - My Extended Feline Family

The other day I told you all about my cousin Raji who found his forever home with Gammy & Gampy, so I thought I would tell you about my two other cousins today. They live with Gammy & Gampy down in Victoria now but before they lived 3 hours north of Sydney so Harry & I would go and visit them a lot and for quite a while we even lived with them so we are all friends.

Q:

Q was found by Gampy in his work shed. She was only a couple of weeks old and she was all alone. No one knows how she got there and because she was only a tiny baby of course they had to keep her. She is almost 5 years old now and is a real trouble maker. I don't think she likes Mama much because everytime she sees her she just stares and stares at her.

Tabby:

Tabby was advertised in the local paper for several weeks as free to good home. Mama insisted that they go see her because why would someone get rid of a perfectly good tabby cat. She was very loved by the lady there and but they were going on a long holiday (several years) and couldn't take her with them. The man said he didn't know what to do because no one would take her and they might have to get her put down. Enought said, of course Mama and Gammy took her on the spot. She is almost 9 now but sadly she has breast cancer on all of her teats, it is too far gone and the surgery is very invasive. The vet said she wouldn't last long but she has lasted for 3 years and is really enjoying her new home, it has given her a second lease on life she happy, playful and a real loving cat.

Firstly Mama wanted to say THANK YOU for all the kind words about my cousin Raji, he is such a wonderful kitteh and a wonderful addition to our family of felines.

Secondly HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAMMY! I love you lots and lots and miss you now you live down in Victoria, come and visit me soon (and bring treats please!).

Today for Winston Wednesday we have been searching through Esty for another exciting item to add to my wishlist and because it is morning I was in the mood for some Bacon & Eggs and look what I found in K.Grant Designs shop. It's Fried Eggs and Bacon Cat Nip toy - wow that is the best of two worlds right there catnip and bacon yummo!

Raji's Forever Home

Today I am going to tell you about my cousin Raji. He wasn't always my cousin, he used to be my neighbour when we lived with Gammy & Gampy, but then his family moved away. I don't know where they went but I don't think Raji liked it there because he came back. Gammy called his mum and she came back and got him but he must have hated it there because he came back again and stayed because his mum never came back t get him again. He foraged around for food and lived out on the back porch of the empty house for a long time. Mama felt so sorry for him so she started leaving food out the back for him because she didn't want him to go and catch the native animals for food. After we moved out Gampy couldn't stop feeding him and during winter was taking out warm porridge! But they were not keeping him because they had 3 cats there.

One thing Raji wouldn't stop doing though was getting in fights with other neighbourhood cats then last Christmas Eve when we were home for the holidays Mama got up and found blood everywhere out on the back patio, she found Raji and he was almost dead. He had got into a fight so bad that most of his scalp was ripped back and his mouth and nose were bleeding. Mama said that they had to do the right thing and take him to the vet, Gammy agreed. They thought he would have to be put to sleep but the vet said otherwise.

They fixed him up and "fixed" him up, he got his shots and within a couple of weeks Raji was a new cat. He moved into the house with the other cats (there were only two now because Jess went to kitteh heaven) and then moved interstate with Gammy & Gampy and is loving his new forever home. Mama says that she thinks that Jess played a part from above in getting Raji beat up so bad that we would realise that he wasn't a stray we fed but a real part of our Family.

Mama went to shops today and came back with excellent presents for us boys! First there were some Salmon & Tuna Tempter... yummo. And then there were these fabulous little mices...

Vote-A-Thon is Over!

So I had my vote-a-thon to raise money for Cat Protection NSW and I with the help of all my friends out there in Internet world I raised AU$9.40 - that is 47 generous votes from you all. Mama is going to match what I raised dollar for dollar and is rounding up so the final donation is AU$20.00. I know it is not the hugest donation in the world but when it comes to kitteh rescue and protection every little bit counts.

Mama has also said that we have to include Harry from time to time (no idea why, he is no way near as friendly as me) so I am posting a picture of the two of us together:

Furtastic Friday - Cat Protection NSW

MIAOW! Hi everyone hope you are having a furtastic friday. I went missing in action this morning, which is a hard thing to do in a one bedroom apartment, but it was just that mama wasn't looking very hard for me. She has a doll's bed that she got when grammy and grampy moved that she is meant to get rid of, luckily for me she hasn't got round to it and now I have claimed it as my own.

Well I am still hoping to get my Whiskas dream and so now I am going to be a corrupt kitteh and buy votes (not really). Actually we have decided that for every vote we recieve between 12 noon Australian EST today(which is pretty much now) and 12 noon on saturday Australia EST we are going to donate AU20 cents to The Cat Protection Society of NSW . As you all know Cat Protection Society is a great organisation that has an adoption centre for kittehs, welfare services, information and products to keep us all happy and healthy.

Mama is a huge fan of Etsy and I like looking over her shoulder and seeing the fabulous offering for kittehs like me from around the world. Today I have been sleeping most of the day so I thought it would be great to pick something that would be comfy to sleep in!

This hand knit felted cat napper by Wrapt is fantastic and made with real 100% Peruvian Highland wool - wool is always best to make a good cat nest in - and it has a cool trim that you can snug down into. We are adding it to our favourites - maybe for my birthday (hint hint Mama).

Welcome To Winston's World

Hello, my name is Winston and this is my new blog. I am a ginger moggy who lives in Sydney, Australia with my Mama and my big brother Harry. I am 3 years old and I love to cause trouble.

My goal is to win a chance to become the face of the new Whiskas Oh So... Meaty & Fishy campaign but to do this I need votes from the public. It is very easy, just click here.
But it is not just about me winning the prize, we want to make sure that other people have fun and that people are more aware about cat adoption and desexing of cats to ensure that all the kitties out there can live a life of love and security like Harry and Me.

Harry, my brother is 10 years only (he just had his birthday in March) and he has been so very important to Mama. She rescued him from the RSPCA where he was one in a litter of moggie kittens that had been dumped, at the time mama was a little bit sad and having Harry in her life gave her a reason to get out of bed in the morning.

My story is a little different, I came from a pet shop in a mall. Mama doesn't support pet shops but I was in the window and she fell in love the second she saw me, she didn't get me straight away because she really didn't want to buy from the pet shop but the more she thought about it the more worried she became that I wouldn't get bought and end up being sent to the RSPCA when I was too big to sell and that I could end up on death row, also she thought I was being traumatised by being handed around to lots of strangers, I was very stressed out about all the kids poking at me. She came back the next day and got me, ever since then I have been by her side. Harry was not pleased to see me when I first got here (actually he never seems to pleased to see me) but we get along well (most of the time) and we are spoilt rotten by Mama.

Anyway I am off for a catnap now but come back tomorro for Winston Wednesday.
